Hat Rental Information

1.1

The hat(s) remain the property of Fee McToal Design at all times.

The full flat hire fee of the hat is payable on reservation - £80.  £20 will be refunded on return of hat.

Hats are hired per occasion. Hire periods usually last 3-7 days.  Once a hat has been taken for hire it is considered a hire even if not worn and there will be no refund.

Fee McToal Design reserves the right to make substitutes without prior warning for any article that may be unavailable.

1.6

Fee McToal Design will not be liable for any delay or failure to deliver due to circumstances which are out of its control; or for any damage or injury caused by the misuse of the Company’s property.

The liabilities of the hirer commence at the time the hired hat(s) are collected from my premises and continue until they are returned to the premises of Fee McToal Design.

1.8

Cancellation policy: The full hire fee will be refunded for cancellations made 7 days before the hire date. The full hire fee will be retained for cancellations made less than 7 days prior to the hire date.

2.1

When you hire a hat you will be required to provide Fee McToal Design with accurate, complete and current credit or debit card information for a valid credit or debit card that you are authorized to use.

2.2

By signing up for the Service, you authorize Fee McToal Design to bill your credit or debit card the applicable fees, per-item, any and all applicable taxes, and any other charges you may incur in connection with your use of the Service. The applicable fees will be charged to your credit or debit card on the date your hire is made.

2.3

If your hat is not returned on the due return date agreed when the purchase was made, Fee McToal Design will charge your credit card for each overdue day, at the rate of £20 per day for that hat as stated by Fee McToal Design, until a return date has been agreed by the customer and Fee McToal Design.

2.4

Fee McToal Design may modify the price, content, or nature of the Service at any time. I may provide notice of any such changes by email, or by publishing them on the Site.

2.5

Damage to property: If damage exceeds normal wear, as determined by Fee McToal Design in its sole discretion, you agree that Fee McToal Design may charge/invoice you for the full cost of replacing the hat as well as charge you the full amount of any lost earnings or incurred costs resulting from the damage. The product replacement fee will vary depending on the specifics of each hat and its amount is to the full discretion of Fee McToal Design. ‘Damage’ includes loss of decorations or embellishments; marks or spoilage from water, oil or make-up, and scratches or material tears.  If you return a hat with damage (including smoke) but I believe it can be repaired, you, the client agree to pay for the repairs.

2.6

Customers are required to check their order carefully and ensure it’s in the correct condition before leaving Fee McToal Design premises.

3.1

Weather is the enemy of the hat and although we appreciate it is beyond control, please care for the hired hat in the rain as you would if it was your own. Keep it under an umbrella at all times when it is raining and be aware of certain fabrics and features of hats being more susceptible to weather damage in bad conditions. Fee McToal Design reserves the right to charge a fee amount if the item is returned marked or damaged in any way. This includes but is not limited to holes, dents, stains and rain marks. Credit or debit card details will be taken as a form of security and will only be deducted accordingly after discussion with the hirer and Fee McToal Design.

3.2

Under no circumstances are customers to attempt to clean any hats themselves by any means. If done so, Fee McToal Design reserves the right to invoice for part or full replacement value of the items and charge you the full amount of any potential lost earnings or incurred costs regardless of whether any damage has been caused.

3.3

If the hat is damaged beyond repair, lost or stolen then the full purchase price will be paid by the hirer. The replacement cost will be determined by Fee McToal Design.

3.4

Should a previous hirer not return a hat you have booked to hire or it is damaged, Fee McToal Design will endeavour to find a good and suitable replacement. A direct replica style and colour will not be guaranteed. Liability is limited to the return of the hire charge fee if a suitable alternative is not available.

All original hat boxes must be returned with the hat hired. Customer will be liable to a £10 charge to cover the cost of replacing any hat boxes are damaged or not returned to Fee McToal Design.

This privacy policy sets out how Fee McToal Design uses and protects any information that you give Fee McToal Design when you use this website or hire a hat from Fee McToal Design. Fee McToal Design is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. You can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

Fee McToal Design collects personal information when you place an order. By registering, you are consenting to the collection of your personal data. If an order is placed we need to hold personal information, including your name, email address, phone number, home address and credit / debit card billing addresses so that we can process and fulfill your order. Saved card details will never be shared with third parties.

Saved card details will never be shared with third parties and will only be used to process your order, using my payment system.   Additionally I may also obtain information as a result of authentication or identity checks..

Fee McToal Design may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes. This policy is effective from 1^st April 2024.

If an order is placed with me, we need to hold personal information including your name, email address, phone numbers, home address, shipping and credit/debit card billing address(es) so that we can process and fulfil your order.

4.4.1     We may use the information to improve our products and services.

4.4.2     We may periodically send promotional emails about new hats, products and services, special offers or other information which we think you may find interesting using the email address which you have provided.

4.4.3     From time to time, we may also use your information to contact you for market research purposes. We may contact you by mail, email, or phone.

Sometimes I may like to use your photo for social media.  Please let me know if you do not wish this to be done.
